Lift to Komari vížka

Chair lift to Komáří vížka hill

Komáří vížka hill (807 m) dominates the eastern ridge of the Krušné hory Mountains. Beneath its surface hides a series of old tunnels and it is possible to discover the remains of mining activity. In 1857 on the peak of Komáří vížka was built a restaurant with a
lookout tower. From the terrace you can see all the way to the tops of the Giant Mountains and at your fingertips you will see the Czech Central Mountains.

For the way to the top you can use a chair lift from Krupka, which was founded in 1952 and is the oldest and longest cable car without intermediate stops in the Czech Republic. It measures 2,348 meters and the path to the top takes about 15 minutes. The ride is in itself a unique experience which offers a beautiful view of the surroundings. The cable car is also often used by cyclists because it allows the transport of bikes!
